Party for BGIIEE (insane, but not LoB)

Paladin, undead hunter
Thief, swashbuckler
Berserker, dualed into Cleric at lev 9
Kensai, dualed into mage at lev 9
Kensai, dualed into mage at lev 9
What to put here...

Ideas appreciated.

I'd use a Druid in that party. I'm not a fan of the Kensai/Mages though.

You don't have a great ranged attacker. The Swash can be ranged., but not sure if you're going that way.

A pure Kensai Thrower is a force to be reckoned with. My Kensai throw has 60% of the kills in a 6 man party with Jaheira and Keldorn tanking, along with Imoen, Jan & Aerie.

If it were me and building on that theme I would go:

    Paladin, undead hunter
    Thief, swashbuckler
Berserker, dualed into Cleric at lev 9
    Kensai Thrower
    Sorcerer
    Skald

@malachi151 - I've read about the stats of the Kensai Throwers and that seem like good option. Thanks for the input!

My advice is to 5 man with your selection and leave slot 6 available for rotating NPC's in so you can do their quests and/or romance.

Without difficulty mods like SCS/Ascension you really don't need a full party for insane difficulty, especially running 5 custom characters.

True, I'd probably actually go with 4 man with custom chars as you'll level faster and be better able to avoid damage.

He could just stick with his:
    Paladin, undead hunter
    Thief, swashbuckler
Berserker, dualed into Cleric at lev 9
Kensai, dualed into mage at lev 9

(However, I'd change it to Berserker instead of Kensai if trying to power game it. IMO even plain Fighter is better than Kensai if dualing at 9)
