Resting?

in Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition
every time i try to rest outside of the bunkhouse in the hive it keeps telling me it's too dangerous to rest. is this going to happen all the time?

    Yes. Many areas are flagged as "too dangerous to rest".

    The idea is that you have to earn the right to rest rather than simply being able to rest whenever you push a button. A lot of players find that off-putting, and if you don't like it, there are mods that allow you to rest anywhere.
