issues with multiplayer

I was trying to play with new gaming friend and he was constantly kicked out out of multiplayer - what gives?
We were able to play while he was hosting the game, but next time we tried, I couldn't connect.

We were playing Baldur's Gate 2 ee....

    Are you playing the 2.5 beta?

    Can you explain what "constantly kicked out out of multiplayer" means?

    No, he has gog copy, I have steam one.... so no 2.5 beta.



    It means he was kicked from the game to loading multiplayer screen.

    We tried to play several times... one time he was the host and we played until I died...
    second time I wasn't able to connect to his game
    third time I were the host and he was kicked
    fourth time I were the host and he was kicked..
