I can't rejoin the Dustmen faction

in Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition
I recently joined the Sensates so I could have access to the exclusive items and special ability, so I had to leave the Dustmen with hopes of coming back to them for their exclusive items.

I've tried talking to Emoric again, but nothing seems to work. I've tried Google searching for some answers, but this doesn't seem to be talked about at all. Is it even possible to rejoin any faction after leaving them?

    No, you won't be able to rejoin a faction after leaving it.

    I think this applies to all factions, but I'm not sure about the Chaosmen. Dustmen certainly don't let you rejoin.
