Game won't turn on.

So, I just grabbed BG:EE on sale and when I try to run the app after a fresh install I see a flash of the logo and a download screen but the app crashes (With no error message) and a notification saying Baldur's Gate has finished downloading. I try to run it again and it flashes to a black screen and crashes with no error message.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that did not work. I've tried clearing the data and cache (was no cache since it hasn't even ran yet). Still no go. Any solutions?

I am on Android 7 and using whatever update is the latest on Google Play.

    Hi @Thorq, welcome to the forum.

    So a couple of Qs..

    - What device are you playing on (this is to determine the graphics processor and display)?

    - What version are you installing? (looking in the App Mngr will tell you if it doesn't start).
    My guess is that it is the offical latest release (1.3.x). If this is the case, you could try the beta release which is 2.5.x. Have a look here to find out about the beta. Here about how to install.

    Hopefully the beta works... If not, we could try looking at the data folder.

    Honor 7x. The GPU is Mali-T830 MP2.

    And yes the version is the 1.3.

    I am currently downloading the beta patch to test that.
