Necromancer seems very strong to me now

Now that we know for a fact that specializing brings with it the proper DC save adjustments, I have decided to play a Necromancer. In the past I never could bring myself to play one, as that particular specialization seems to outright cripple the player's defensive capabilities. But that was before I knew +2/-2 DC actually works as intended.

Now, it seems very strong to me.

People may think it's of small importance, but it's not...+2/-2 is huge. In 3rd Edition, a wizard happily blows two feats for an additional +2 DC. That's like having every enemy in the game affected with Doom whenever you cast from your school. The prospect of such a bonus being applied to spells like Finger of Death, Horrid Wilting, and Wail of the Banshee is too much for me to overlook - even if I do have to sac Project Image. Necromancers deal in death, and one doesn't need Project Image when everything is made dead.
