Your CD Key is Already In Use!

My brother and I are trying to host a LAN game together. But when he joins, he gets an error message saying: "This CD is already in use."

My brother just bought the steam copy. I have a copy that I bought directly from Beamdog. Can anyone help me with this problem?

We actually looked at our CD Key files, in My Documents, and saw that our CD Keys were exactly the same.

    Hello everyone, we fixed the problem by re-installing my brother's game.

    It looked like transferring his character from my computer by copying EVERYTHING in My Documents caused our cd.ini files to clash.

    The steam client seems to not overwrite an exiting key when it starts. I think the beamdog client will force your beamdog key in when it runs. If you move the beamdog key away and then start the game via steam you will get a cdkey.ini file with your steam key in it. You already fixed it, but just in case anyone else reads it...
