Watcher's Keep stash?

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
In BG2EE, I have just finished Chapter 6, and I read in a walk through that I will no longer be able in or after C. 7 to return to the slums and the Copper Caldron to access my stash. Since I will, apparently, be able to reach Watcher's Keep even in ToB, can I store items there for later upgrades by Cespenar?
Getting near the end, at last, I do not want to mess things up.Thanks
