    The Shadow Thieves (which are based out of Amn) are a separate organization to the thieves guild in Baldur's Gate (although they do make a brief appearance in BG1 in chapter 7). Unfortunately, it looks like the wiki gets this wrong. I've corrected the main page but there are probably side pages that need correcting (like pages for people who are found in it or who are affiliated with the BG thieves guild).

    Would a moderator consider changing the title of this thread and the first paragraph of the first comment? :)

    It's 4.5 years old, with the last comment 3 years ago. The current wiki has had multiple insanely productive contributors since then. It'd be nice to get more contributors, but I'm not sure it'll help if one of the cores of the English BG community has a permanent flag saying the English wiki is a load of horse dung :*

    The first post is actually a call to contributions which IS nice, but anyone not interested enough to read on will just move on being told that the BG Wiki is not a good place. T'would be nice to fix that or something after half a decade...

    That's great to hear! Changed the thread title, but left the OP unchanged - because it was a true reflection of the wiki state back then.
