Using class name in dialogs

Please, don't use class name in dialogs. It sounds ridiculous:
"Thank you, kind fighter/thief."

Ugh...

This is a feature request, not a bug. Moved to the proper section.

Awwww. :( Hope this changes so that they address you differently if you're a multiclass. I enjoyed it when I got called an Archer.

It would be cool if NPCs could discern your general profession. Some class names are not things you'd put on your name-tag -- imagine "Thank you, kind Assassin" -- no, just no.

Bard or Thief (and all multi-class thief combos): Rogue.
Mage (and all non-Thief multi-class combos): Mage.
Cleric or Druid (and all multi-class combos): Priest.

Every other class you can use the name directly, or you could use the Warrior category for Fighter-types, and Sorcerer / Monk / Barbarian / Ranger / Paladin for those classes, since they ought to generally look the part.

I've added this suggestion to the tracker.

The issue is that all rogues do kinda look the same in BG.
