Autopause bug while in map.

Current behaviour:

Often, I use the map to get around without having to click every 30 foot or so. However, if I'm on the map screen, and I encounter some enemies, the game does not autopause.

Expected behaviour:
Autopause should kick in when you're walking around with the map screen displayed when autopause conditions are met.

    Any updates on this? This behaviour is this there as of patch 2011, and quite annoying, so it would be nice to know if the devs saw this / if it's in the tracker?

    Well for sure it never worked BGEE, but I have no idea if it ever did in any other Infinity Engine game.

    Nope auto pause was always disabled in BG2 when on the map screen. I only realized that I was ambushed by Athkatla's many thieves when the combat music started playing. Since I have AI off all the time I could see that my people just kept on walking. As for BG1 the map screen was like the inventory screen of BG2; meaning it was in a perpetual state of pause.

    alright, you are now one step closer to being able to play the game without looking at any artwork :P

    autopauses now work on the map
