Durlag's Tower Chapel

In the Tower third level, in the chapel where you find the Wisdom Tome, there is a trap on the altar that I coulden't have removed (Imoen have failed with Find Trap at 100%)
Is this a bug?

Sorry do you mean Imoen failed to see it or failed to remove it? What is her pick locks? You want both to be high for that trap. Ingest a potion of thief mastery beforehand will also help.

Imoen failed to remove it. 100% in Pick Loks ^_^
It's the only trap she couldn't remove.

Same here. My main character has 95% in Lock, and Imoen has 95% in Traps, but neither of them could remove it. (I made the Save v. Spell, so I don't know what the trap was, but still.)

I've had the same problems with traps inside the Temple of Bhaal, in the last combat. XD

I'm pretty sure Imoen removed it for me, with 100% in find traps.

The lock difficulty is 100, the trap detection difficulty is 90, and the trap removal difficulty is 100. The spell that is cast as a result of trap removal failure or triggering the trap is Dire Charm. Even a 95 in find traps won't suffice--it will need to be the full 100. hrm...a useful place for potions of perception, indeed.

May I have suffered from some not-signaled penalties (as wearing armor)?
  • MathsorcererMathsorcerer Member Posts: 3,042
Possibly. Hide armor gives penalites to thief abilities while heavier armors disable the thieving button completely.

So it is possible to have indicated theese penalties directly on the character sheet?
  • MathsorcererMathsorcerer Member Posts: 3,042
*shrug* I have no idea, especially since I haven't even started to try and edit/tweak the character sheet.

I can find but not disarm the trap with 165 in Open Lock and 125 in Find Trap (see images)

I remember this trap from the original. I think it is supposed to be irremovable.

As some of the traps in first underlevel (now removable).

traps at 100 are not removable, though traps at 101 ARE removable. If you have the skill.

In Bg1 Traps in the first underlevel were not removable. IN BGEE you can disarm them, so I've thought all traps will be removable.
    Am-I wrong?

Also traps in the temple of Bhaal are not removable.

If irremovable traps are a developers choice (I haven't yet understand) then I think we can close the topic. :)

If a trap is not removable you should get a warning message I think.
