Neera Romance stuck

Now iv done her romance before in another save but this game i took a lil longer to go do her sidequest and she already talked to me a couple of her dialogue...all was nice and dandy until I finally did her quest and now the wont say anything to me..any fix around that?

    Can't find a search function for this forum, so here goes.

    Current behavior: I had the dialogue where Neera tells me a predictable routine is boring and I concur. I complete the Adoy quest shortly thereafter and went all the way through Cloakwood and into Baldur's Gate. Nothing. I talk to the Halfling and pay him the 200 gold. Nothing. My romance dialogues seem bugged or stuck.

    Expected Behavior: Over time, I should be getting dialogues from her. I don't know why I am not. If this is the actual end of her dialogues, I'd love to know so I can move on as it were.

    The same have happened to me.
    I'm at 4/5 of the game, Chapter 6, but the last conversation with Neera happened before I arrived to Nashkell...

    Well i know there is more to it since iv done it before difrence was I went to her sidequest right away the first time but this one i took a lil longer and her romance dialogue wont follow up

    Probably it is not a bug, just end of content.

    It is possible to offend her. Other than that, she will never go farther than kissing.

    So, using getglobal I've found mine was set to 3 in my latest saves. I went back before Adoy, and it was set to one before one of the dialogues. rested ,got the dialogue, it set to two... then I start to roam thinking I'd have to wait a while to get adoy done since the quest seems to bug it to three immediately... and after a few days in game time it sets to 3. This has to be a bug, right? I have an autosave where it sets to 3 immediately after rest that I can send to the devs.

    These getglobal values don't really make sense to me after BG2... After the kissing part neera_romance global value went from 2 to 3 which has previously ment that the romance has been finished. But if I angered her in that same dialogue, the value goes to -1 :P

    Makes sense they'd use then for their own variables. As it is, I think I'll stop playing until I know what the variables mean this time.

    -1 annoyed, and you can never get into her panties.
    0 not started
    1-2 in middle of something
    3 end of content for now.

    Oh, so it switches around this time? That's weird, I haven't gotten the kiss dialogue in this one... when is that supposed to come up?

    I'm also stuck with the Neera romance. I don't think I offended her, but it has been quite a while since I finished her quest and I still haven't got any dialogue after the one that triggers right after the quest. I'm not sure I didn't offend her, but if the romance is written well enough and not like one from a high school teen movie, my choice should be correct.


    Unless acting like an egocentric douche and choosing the second option is the correct one. Something along the line of "Well, you're with me now, of course your life is getting better!".

    Seriously, never heard of a joke? Egocentric douche?

    You and my mother would get along awesomely in a manners war :p

    I'll play to the end with this character and see if Neera gives me anymore dialogues.

    And it says it's a joke WHERE exactly? You'll be surprised how many people talk like that for real!

    The line "You're prettier than most half-orcs I've seen." looks a lot more like a joke (because OBVIOUSLY Neera is quite pretty and an elf at that) but I didn't choose it just in case. And here in the forum I found out I chose correctly, because it actually sets her romance to -1! So - WTF! Was really "You're with me now..." the correct line?

    Not if I want *you* to take me seriously, you mean. I don't deal with uptight manner driven 'gentlemen' if I can help it. Too much social pressure and not enough fun.

    There is a time and a place for 'professional' attitudes... most of life is not it.

    Can anyone confirm that the 3 variable goes back to 1-2 after a while for another dialogue?

    Nobody is making you do anything man, I'm just saying. I don't know you at all and you don't know me, so don't try to label people based on 1-2 posts on a computer game forum.

    Now back to the topic - I also wanted to ask what this "kissing" dialogue looks like, because I don't know if I f'*cked it up or it just hasn't appeared yet.

    I just browsed through her dialog file. I would say that Neera appears needs a little encouragement from time to time and appreciates someone who appreciates the more chaotic nature of her abilities. I didn't see any responses that turned 3 back to 1 or 2 but there are a couple that could turn 3 to -1.

    How do you view her dialogue file? That seems incredibly odd. I haven't gotten any dialogues beyond the 'fleeing from red wizards' one, and after that it turns to 3. wtf is going on here?

    I'm on chapter 5 right now and I assume that Neera still being "not ready" is entirely due to the romance bug others have talked about.

    Now, I am rather curious if she will picked up where she left off regardless of the chapter I am on once this is fixed, or if I should avoid progressing further along in the story?

    One thing I have noticed is that dealing with the halfling in Baldur's Gate now no longer has her repeating the same line over and over (through her initiating dialogue), but I've noticed that after her jesting about the situation, I am unable to initiate conversation with her (she's "too busy").

    I suppose for now I should just avoid that fight entirely, but I am curious if I should also refrain from progressing farther in the story at all (ie: if that will have any effect on her romance dialogue once the bug is fully fixed).

    is there a command where i can reset neera's dialogue to the point where i can talk to her again? She won't talk to me and her CLUAConsole:GetGlobal("neera_romance","global") is -1

    Guys I just noticed, has anyone been northeast of Durlag's tower? There seems to be a new area which is connected to Neera. Maybe her dialogue will progress when you reach that area.
