Highest xp only 66k?

I KNOW this has been talked about in 100 threads already but I can't find any now!
If I remember correctly the highest xp you could get in old BG Totsc was about 160000.
But now my characters are stuck in about 64-66000. Have I missed something?
Is there any easy way to remove the xp cap?

    Your characters should be able to reach 161000 xp. Keep in mind that for dual or multi-class characters, all of their xp counts towards this cap.

    My multiclass character only reached about 33k before he stopped progressing, could this be a bug just for me then?

    The 161k is split between each class. For 2 class characters, each can get up to about 80,500 each class. For 3 class characters you can get up to around 53,666 per class

    Now, if you dual classed, the amount is still split. Say you have 50,000 XP and decide to dual class, the second class can only get 111,000 XP.

    My Cleric/ranger multiclassed caped at 33333/33333
    Ajantis at 64833
    Coran at 27457/27457
    Imoen at 66023
    Kivan at 65186
    and Neera at 65181
    And I've tried to kill lots of enemies/complete quests to see if I gain any more xp but its stuck there, so there is something wrong then? can I remove the cap myself?

    This is definitely not the way it's supposed to work. You should report it as a bug.

    @Drazze are all the characters stuck? Any of them multi or dual classed?

    That is a bit strange. My T/M solo was able to hit the 161k cap.

    Nevermind guys! I don't know if it was the new patch or becouse I restarted both the game and my computer but now my characters gain xp again!
