I've been rolling a fighter for the past week and cannot manage to get over 90 and I'm getting quite enraged to be honest . You can write down how long it took you to get your roll. For example: 95, Googolplex of millenia and so on

Btw, is it just me or is the first roll, the one you get automatically, always a bit on the high side?
But I don't bother too much. Two dumpstats (INT and WIS) are enough to create an excellent fighter within minutes.
tbh, rolling more than once is cheating by true D&D rules :P
Edit: And to add to it, you didn't even get 100+!! I am outraged!
I rolled 92. So with all the tomes I have exactly 100
BTW, it took me around 30 minutes to roll a 55% 94 human fighter yesterday. 30 more minutes of re-rolling netted me three more 90+ (the best was 92 of those three).
Also, the time factor was significantly reduced by a little program created by @Ravel. You can find it here: http://forum.baldursgate.com/discussion/10314/a-crappy-stat-rolling-monitoring-utility-i-made/p1
Paladins get it pretty easy also, min charisma is 17 so your basicly only rolling your other stats.
I had a Fighter with 18/00, 18, 18, 14, 15, 17, which is exactly 100, but that was after a few books (I can't remember his original total), and I cannot import him into BGEE.
And for the topic, I'd go for 90+ for any class.
Raw 18 = +1 hit, +2 damage.
18/01 -> 18/50 = +1 hit, +3 damage
18/51 -> 18/75 = +2 hit, +3 damage
18/76 -> 18-90 = +2 hit, +4 damage
18/91 -> 18/99 = +2 hit, +5 damage
18/00 = +3 hit, +6 damage
I consider the +hit more important than the +damage, so I just make sure it's 18/51 or better. In my experiences, it doesn't really matter what your damage is as long as you're consistently landing hits.
I have rolled 18/00 a handful of times before. Got it on a Kensai I planned to dual-class to mage once and that was fun. Also got it on a Cavalier a long time ago, and she managed to max dexterity and constitution as well. Dumb as a brick but I can count on 1 hand the number of AD&D paladins I've rolled with more than 3 intelligence.
Now here's the comedy (always comedy with me): the WS was a half-orc. So I bumped his strength to 19 anyway.
88 total
EDIT: Then again, I rolled for less than 15 minutes. Is that lucky or average?
