Alright, I let it roll for a few hours while I was on my other computer... 96 point fighter yo. Of course, I would never play a plain fighter so the character goes in the trash (18/36 str anyways). The stats, as rolled, were actually good enough to just play as rolled pretty much so long as he used ranged weapons, claw of kazgaroth, and gauntlets of ogre power. 14 18 14 17 18 15.
Left the autoroller running for 4 hours. ended up with a fighter with 97 points and 18/79 STR. Kind of nice. Trashed the character soon after I checked on the stats though. It was a fun experiment.
I'm still waffling with my next reroll (now waiting for the latest update to download). I have a 94-point half-orc barbarian from the evening's rolling, but the masochist in me is wanting to go halfling wizard slayer. So I will tell you right now that my strength will be 17.
to ALL complaining about low rolls: archer roll 97 after few minutes blade roll 90 after 20 minutes thief/mage roll 93 after 15 minutes
the easyness of rolling depends on class eg easy for archer hard for avenger due to inherent stat requirements per class. but it's also very clear that many of you just miss the good rolls (bad math perhaps?). i'm rolling once per 2 seconds max and only fully count the rolls that look/seem very good in the first place. it's hard to believe that you guys are just sooo unlucky!

"sighs" this discussion is about Fighter stats, it's clearly stated quite everywhere "another sigh"
Yeah it's a bit harder for the fighter to get impressive rolls. with the auto roller running at like 5 clicks a second for 4 hours I only managed to get a 97 and 18/79 at best. In about 72,000 rerolls.
I now have a 100-point barbarian. Halfling, of course. The roll was 13/19/16/18/17/17 if memory serves.
I shuffled points around to get 17/19/18/17/11/18.
I'd rolled a 94-pointer when I decided to watch TV for a bit and let the automagic roller do its thing.
I guess he's quite the munchkin for multiple senses of the word. Let's see if I even make it to Beregost before I start fretting over not being able to wear that free suit of ankheg plate, or not having a bonus to THAC0 from strength, or some other bit of absurdity.
I have a woehearted tale about a beserker who rolled 97, and I got so excited I exited full screen using alt-enter to take a screencap. The points weren't allocated, it was sittting at all 15's with 7 points to spend, and it progressed to the next stage of character creation.
Also couldn't figure out what I was going to dual-class to. Rolled another 'zerker 92, and dualled it to mage later.
I've excitedly hit REROLL instead of STORE before, and have also inadvertently advanced to the next stage of character creation with points unspent. I'm also fairly certain when manually rerolling and falling into the rut of "click…click…click" that I've hit REROLL a little too quickly after some potentially outlandish rolls, before all those 17s and 18s fully registered.

So unless you meant mid-70s, or you are talking about rolling actual dice, I think you're misremembering.
Keep in mind that this is total, not just what you can spend. So
18
18
18
10
13
18
is 95 points.
18/99 str (>_0) so close...
18 dex
18 con
3 int
3 wis
18 cha
Of course, this means I will have to hide from Illithids in BG2 but I don't think it should be too much of a problem.

But only around 10 minutes on the other one.
