Ioun Squirrel

A long time ago in an early version of Baldur's Gate that has long since become obsolete, there was a very special squirrel. I'm sure a lot of people know what I am talking about. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the legend I shall tell you what I know. Supposedly there was one squirrel in the game that held a special artifact called the Ioun Stone of Luck. From what I have heard this rumor circulated the internet and caused a squirrel massacre across the Sword Coast. I have never seen this ioun stone myself but from what I was able to dig up about this story many years ago I found out that this item only existed in very early editions of the game and in subsequent releases the item was removed. I am not sure about how much truth there is to this legend but I would like to know if the Ioun Squirrel has made a comeback in BG:EE or not.

    There's no such item or creature in BG:EE.

    Anyone else read the thread title and think of a squirrel with an Ioun Sotne equipped? Or worse a squirrel orbiting someone's head.

    Wasn't Ioun Stones introduced in BG2? I don't recall ever seeing any in the first game at all.

    i guess the squirrel with stone of luck belong to Dark Side of the Sword Coast mod. This Squirrel traipse around the Nashkel as far as I remember.

    Mopap gives you his Mopap's Lucky Rune Wardstone after you speak to him a few times. Killing isn't necessary.
