Dear journal...

I don't know where to begin, but I need to tell you about yesterday's fiasco.
I can tell you that Neera the wild mage is dead. Crushed by a falling cow in fact, which is good for her or else I'd probably throw her from a cliff or into a wyvern's den.

So I got attacked by yet another assassin (I lost count already), outside the Nashkel Inn.
Neera started casting a spell, I'm not sure which she had planned, but probably not what actually happened.
At least I know what it feels to have the weight of an entire cow land at the top of my head, and so does every other person that *used* to live in Nashkel.

Even though I had probably broken most of the bones in my body, as I was lying there, what rushed through my mind was how screwed we all are, though at the time I didn't notice who in my party was still alive.
So many innocent people dying just can't go unpunished. The number of the bounty on my head rapidly going up also flashed before my eyes.

Anyway, Rasaad left the party in a split-second, I forgot what he said, but he probably wasn't going to fetch me some extra healing potions, not that he'd be able, Neera had earlier destroyed hundreds of our gold. I'm not sure how that's possible, I mean what kind of spell goes into gold pouches and makes the content disappear? Then again, what kind of spell makes cows fall from the sky? I shouldn't have skipped out on so many lessons back in Candlekeep.

Dorn was also still alive. I noticed that while he was towering over my broken body. I was surprised he seemed unharmed but he had just taken the blow far better than I had. Felt like several minutes passing, where he said nothing, at least I think he didn't, I might've had a severe concussion. All I heard was the sound of singing birds.

I'm amused enough by your story to forgive you for making yet another "Neera's surges are annoying!" thread.

Not sure how. But after Neera casted few buffs on him, Dorn now have 175 hp and permenent improved haste. Though it might be a bug.

I don't think they are annoying though, it's just a story.

That's why Dorn and Neera are the scariest party members in Baldur's Gate. I constantly fear for my life.

What a record, burning her fellow students or whatever she did, now making the evil half-orc into a minor god. I'm sure the being who gives Dorn his powers is pleased though.

Fighting Sarevok right now, and I'd forgive any past transgressions if Neera would just starting launching livestock.

With my group I always go with mass prot vs. evil. So when she open a gate to hell by casting a magic missile I am all joy! XD

Neera's Livestock Launcher. I'd make that a higher level spell if I could mod at all.

I have no idea what you people are doing, I'm running as a Wild Mage wih Neera, and the two of us have only blown up the party 3 times. And stolen all our gold once. And wiped out every patron in Feldepost's once. Okay, I guess there was this Pit Fiend we summoned in Beregost too. Anyway, the point is, I've never really had any problems, clearly you people should just practice your dice throwing skills more.

    Thank you.

Mono- and dialogue are the only things I know how to write.

I laughed so hard it woke my wife who wasn't feeling well up from across the house who came to see "what was wrong."

So, she sat down beside me and I had her read this. She just kept staring at me with a WTF why look.

It's something for the fans. For non-fans I'd write it differently, I'd have to explain a lot more.

Look on the bright side OP, with all those extra cows, Nashkel can start a dairy farm to improve the towns income with all the mine trouble and all.
And what's the chances of one of those heifers falling on Noober? If anything, they should be erecting a statue of Neera in Nashkel for her selfless sacrifice.

Or a fast food restaurant. I think the height those cows fell from was too high.
And from that day.. "Neera's" became Forgotten Realm's equivalent to "Wendy's."
