Minsc. For all we have with him and talk to him, I feel like I don't really know enough of him. His culture and his views and his goals. Being comedic relief is grand, and there may be hints of more serious conversations/epiloguestuff, but I want to have that interactive learning and dialogues and deeper connection with 'em.
The ranger doesn't know it, but Minsc and Dynaheir are siblings whose parents were killed by Thayvians.
Well, basically everyone, but mostly Sarevok and Gorion. One big mistake in Baldur' Gate is, that you don't get to know Gorion before he dies, that's why it's not that painfull. In fact, nobody gives a shit. Most other great videogames with simmilar happenings give the player enough time to form a bond with a character. Same mistake in BG2 with Imoen. She stays so pale in BG1 and then in BG2 she gets kidnapped and you barely had the time to get her to know. They should have put up the kidnap a bit later in the game.
I can see that a lot of you don't read the journals and dialogue much It's surprise how well most things get linked and tied up.
BTW there is an excellent mod that tries to follow through where gaps exist called Unfinished Business. Check it out - available at gibberlings3.net.
To bad it's A) not yet compatible with EE and it's not canon. It's not the same when the stories were made up by fans, mostly because some of the ... let me call them character enhancment mods, tend to make story mistakes or leave the wrong questions open. Of course, it's free content, but I hope you know what I mean (because I suck at explaining). To bad that BG and BG2 are full of lore mistakes itself. Why did they put Trademeet were Esmeltaran belongs? It makes no sense! They could have just named it Esmeltaran again. Or the the actual name of the cowled wizards is the grey wizards (could be a translation mistake in the german lore books though). I digrest -.-
