BGEE & Azerty Keyboard

The key Enter (numerical pad) is not recognized by BGEE.

The keys 0-9 (main keyboard this time) are also not recognized.

The shortcut "M" for the map is dead.

15 clics to quit a game in 2012, it's not too many ?

Please make BGEE more convivial, it's not a game for console.

Both Enter and 'M' work fine for me. Also, the number of clicks to exit the game is 5, but yeah I guess a "Exit to Desktop" button on the options screen wouldn't be a bad idea.

That's great for you, but this doesn't work for me.

BGT with "over confirm everything" (once again not recognized by BGEE ) >> 2.

Due the attitude on this forum (it works for we and we don't care the rest of the world), I made a poll on the french forum.

@Shandyr Ok I understand, but before to report this bug I asked around me and I can say that the keys "M" & "Enter" doesn't work for the majority of the french (azerty keyboard ?).

Currently 4 of 5 votes > "problem with the keyboard".

The bug is due to the french keyboard settings, somehow.
The BG2 engine used to force the keyboard to be a QWERTY keyboard.
It's no longer the case, and now several shortcuts do not work anymore for those without an english setup (ie : the "m" key isn t recognized, and the number 1-0 at the top of the keyboard to pick an answer or select specific members of the group are not working at all)

    I've already reported this: http://forum.baldursgate.com/discussion/7481/map-hotkey-does-not-work
Apparently it's been "fixed". Not really.

I had a problem that numbers didn't work. I've got around it by setting English keyboard as a default one (instead of just setting English keyboard which was reverting back to my default when I started the game). Perhaps it will work for French keyboard as well. I have Czech keyboard by the way.

M and the center Enter key works for me, but the bottom right Enter key doesn't work.

@PostTrauma I agree, but the BG2 engine is compatible with the azerty keyboards... (BGEE has been too "cleaned up").

@Awong124 True, it's the Enter of the numerical pad (the one i always use) which doesn't work.

The numpad Enter doesn't work for me either. I guess it doesn't work for anybody. Although I usually use it to continue/end dialogues, it's a minor problem for me. But it would be nice if the devs could make it work and they could also allow more adjustment to the keymapping.

BGEE's problem with French AZERTY keyboards is already in the tracker as a top priority bug. Devs are working on it.

Numpad Enter not working is a separate issue that affects everyone and is also in the tracker.

For quitting the game, what I do for now is switch to desktop -> right-click -> close.
