Character Creation Booboo

I made a fighter/cleric and somehow only managed to leave her with 13 strength and 12 wisdom. I'm not sure if I rolled past a good set on accident and didn't realize it before I accepted or what. Anyhoo, she sucks haha I've done the mines and I'm making decent progress. I'd really hate to have to go back and start the game over again. Any suggestions?

Uhh, I could give you advice, but it could be classed as "spoilers" because I'd be telling you of certain items that do certain things. o.o

If you don't mind me telling you of items and stuff, I'll gladly edit the post :D

Sometimes it's a lot of fun playing with a weaker or average character. And there are items that can permanently or temporarily add points to your scores. Does she have any good scores?

It won't be impossible for you to complete the game, just harder than if you had given your character good scores. Fortunately, all you're missing out on the wisdom side of things is bonus spell slots, and there are various remedies for lack of strength throughout the series. You aren't screwed, you're just in for a challenge.

Though the mines really aren't too far in... if you're already frustrated with your main character, rerolling now doesn't lose you THAT much time.

Have a mage or cleric cast strength on you. Use your cleric buffs wisely. You'll be alright. Certain items will raise your stats later, you can ask or google for locations.

I would suggest continuing playing your character.
Both 12 & 13 are above average scores.
They aren't 18s, but if you want 18s, then you won't be happy with anything less.

Hmm. No one mentioned the cheats yet so I may as well put that option on the board.
DISCLAIMER: I only suggest this because of the accidental error. I abused cheats in my first playthrough and I regret it to this day!

to create some ability boosting tomes open your console and type the following(case sensitive):
    CLUAConsole:CreateItem("book08")
    CLUAConsole:CreateItem("book03")
    repeat as needed.
I already forgot how to enable cheats so you will have to look that up yourself.

For the method above, you edit your baldur.ini file usually in C:\Users\User\Documents\Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition. Insert the following text in the "program options" part:
     	'Program Options',	'Debug Mode',	'1',
Save, run the game, and hit CTRL+SPACE to open up the console.

You can also use a character editor like Shadow Keeper... Though you'll have to find the files used by Shadow Keeper, copy them to your main directory, edit with Shadow Keeper, then copy them back, overwriting the originals.
