I just got BG:EE today! 
I have been playing it all day.
Strangely enough though, after going through all that effort to make a notebook full of concepts for CHARNAMES, I couldn't choose one, and in the end just decided that for my first playthrough I would recreate the first character I ever played in Skyrim, with some minor changes to fit the setting. After all, I've never had as much fun roleplaying a character as I had roleplaying her, so imagine how much more awesome she would be in a game that has far more emphasis on ACTUAL ROLEPLAYING. ...That was the idea, anyways. I'm having fun so far, and keeping an in-character journal.
She will destroy all her foes with her trusty BOSSHAMMER. Which is actually just a warhammer but hey. It's totes boss.

I'm in the Nashkel mines. Xan should be in my party in a matter of hours. And then my plan shall be complete. Muahahahaha.
...Actually that probably didn't merit an evil laugh, but what the hell, they're fun. In fact, I'mma do it again. Muahahahaha.
Well, what was your Skyrim character then? I don't expect you using FUS RO DAH on Sarevok though. Its just not practical.

My halfling barbarian is toe-tappin' in Beregost, waiting impatiently, worried that I might use the excuse of a new update to restart.
Oh by the way. Her name? Is Eibhilin Rhett. That's actually where I got the name I use on the forums. . -c . I liked the sound of it so much that I just started using it as a handle on the internet in addition to a character name.
Also. I just fought Mulahey, and during the fight some of the kobolds fled to the next room.
They must have attacked Xan, because he just joined up and he is SERIOUSLY injured. Poor bby.
brb crying now Xan nearly died before even joining my party oh gosh poor guy and Jaheira's all out of healing spells too, he will have to wait until tomorrow.
Xan was recruited in my first ever playthrough (can you call it a playthrough if you never actually made it "through"?) some 14 years ago. I wish I could remember how that party broke down. I think I had Imoen, Khalid, Jaheira, and Branwen. But I swear I got Minsc and eventually Dynaheir too. Did I drop Khalid and Jaheira? Was this before or after Xan? Maybe that's why that first playthrough fizzled. Too many interesting NPCs, too few party slots.

I wish I was more of a poet, so I could write something.
And congratulations on making it through Finals before succumbing to the temptation, have you actually managed to avoid becoming thoroughly spoiled of the new content?
Also, I will be excited to read yours @Pantalion and @LadyEibhilinRhett, if you so care to post them. That will become an awesome thread
Also, yes. Not spoiled at all. Which is kind of problematic to the extent that I don't know where the hell Neera is.
