    Hi all, if you want to get this working when you have installed BGEE through steam, you first need to right click steam.exe and run with wine. Once steam opens up you then click to play BGEE as usual and it will run perfectly.
    I initially tried opening up BGEE.exe from the steam apps folder and found it did nothing, once you initially run the game through steam it then lets you run the BGEE.exe using wine as well.

    Also I noticed that my previously saved games and exported characters are missing when i run through ubuntu, any new ones show up though.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

    @Maxiumus Yes. Your old characters and saved games are saved in your documents in windows. You can find them searching from ubuntu but you cant find them from windows.

    You will need to do a copy and paste to the ubuntu BG saved games / portraits folder.
