Is this a Wild Surge?

I have Neera in my party and I've experienced some odd effects, but there's one that seems fairly persistent. Now and then either one of my party or even one of the enemy seem to be consumed momentarily in a burst in flames. I've tried looking up Wild Surge outcomes to see what it may be and such, but haven't had any luck. Does anyone know what it is? Is it anything to be worried about?

    I don't know about the flame effect happening on anyone other than Neera or the enemy she is atttacking, but I've noticed (at least in my game) that it happens whenever she uses her unique +1 staff. My guess is that it is something unique to that weapon.

    Hmm. Not sure. What it may be is this: Every time a wild surge of any kind whatsoever happens, a random visual effect is created on the caster and the target. This visual effect has no implications on anything really; it's just there to make things look interesting.

    Oh yeah. That stupid staff... I'm starting to think that that thing is bugged... It never seems to do any damage during the flame effect.

    @Zarakinthish that might just be it. I've a couple of +1 staves in my possession and have swapped them about a bit. That's likely why I'm seeing it. Thanks for the help.
