@Pantalion how did you manage thise multiclasses? I would love to try a halforc barbarian/cleric or ranger/cleric is that possible?

    Half-Orc Barbarian/Cleric:

Make a Half-Orc Barbarian. Use ShadowKeeper to change your class from Fighter (Barbarian Kit) to Fighter/Cleric (Barbarian Kit). Reduce your base HP from 12 to 6. Go into the game, load your character, level him from level 0 Cleric to level 1 Cleric, and enjoy your Barbarian/Cleric.

    Do the same for Ranger/Cleric.

If you want to dual a Barbarian, then there's an even easier way (than using ShadowKeeper).. http://forum.baldursgate.com/discussion/13700/mod-ks-dual-class-mod-v1-1#latest :) !!!

@Kurumi: Dual-classing is very different from multi-classing. ShadowKeeper does not do dual-classing well (in fact, I am not sure it can do it at all).

Sorry hope im not hijacking thread. Is there Anyway to have it work without shadowkeeper as i am unable to buy/download bg2? Even halforc ranger/cleric would be fine.
  • Currently playing a Halfling Cleric/Thief. It seemed odd to me that this multiclass wasn't open to Halflings to begin with (but then, I find a lot of racial class restrictions to be arbitrary and nonsensical), but the Halfling racial features are just so good for the combo, from the higher dex to the sling thac0 bonus to the shorty saves.

Half-Elves can naturally Ranger/Cleric. For Barbarians, they're actually a Fighter Kit, so making a Fighter/Cleric and then setting the kit in Shadowkeeper will work just fine - Remember to zero your levels to get all the kit bonuses otherwise it goes a little wonky.

I've recently started a BG2 solo run using a kensai/assassin multi, using the multikit mod. Half-orc of course, if I'm going to cheese I might as well go all the way. I'm still not sure the kensai bonuses are properly applied at level up though, and since the mod forces you to start as a non-kitted fighter/thief, I have way too many thief skill points (couldn't bother to use shadowkeeper to change that), but it's going as well as you can expect.

Started a very fun character recently, one that is pretty cheesy but fun nevertheless. First I started out as a human (tho any race that can be ranger works, I just chose human because I like the human mage avatar), and selected stalker kit. I choose long sword and scimitar specialization. Saved the game and opened it with shadowkeeper. Modified class to be ranger/cleric and level as 1/1. I chose the human mage avatar because of the visual preference I have for it.

After that I used Infinity Editor Pro and modified two of the coolest looking weapons, the Flame Tongue and Twinkle. I changed the usability to allow ranger/clerics to use it and saved them in the override. I also changed the telbars studded leather +2 to robe type 2 so I wouldnt have to ctrl 1 each time I load the game. I've got to say I'm quite pleased with both his destructive prowess, his visual badassitude, and all the divine spells.

What the stalker kit allows is stealth and back stab joy (admittedly only x2 in BGEE) as well as some mage spells in BG 2. I've got to say one of my favorite modded characters as I solved the main problem I have with ranger/clerics, that being unable to dual wield blades. Blunt weapons look silly dual wielded, even tho blunt damage is superior to slashing. In addition with the modded blades I can back stabby stabby.

A very powerful character that combines the thief abilites of the stalker with the uber priest spell goodness of the ranger cleric. In addition, I don't feel obligated to grab any annoying clerics I might need for priest spells in BG 2 (*cough* Anomen *cough*), allowing Imoen and I to basically cover every base between just the two of us and allow for any combination of NPCs I feel like at the moment. The only decision I need to make NPC wise is either a thief if I dual Imoen, or an arcane caster if not. Love the options =)

The main character of my current game is a half-orc Cleric/Swashbuckler. Not only have I got both priest spells and thieving mostly covered with this character, he's also a passable frontline combatant. I was disappointed however to find out that a Cleric/Swashbuckler can only specialize in either Club or Staff, since those are the only blunt weapons that a Thief may use.

I also recently retconned Imoen into a Thief/Sorcerer instead of a Thief/Mage... well, sorta. I couldn't get the actual dualclassing to work, so instead I remade Imoen as a Sorcerer with extra hit points and proficiencies, and gave her the Use Any Item ability so she can equip bows and such. This Imoen can't use any Thief skills, but that's no problem for me since my main character can do all the thieving that I need.

In previous playthroughs I usually turned Imoen into a Thief/Mage, but I like her better this way. In my opinion it's more in character for Imoen to spontaneously gain the ability to use arcane spells than it is for her to take up the study of spellcraft all of a sudden. It also creates a bigger contrast gameplay wise between her and the other Mage in my party (usually Dynaheir, Neera in my current game).

I've always viewed Imoen dualing as dynaheir teaching her as they traveled together
