Finished but something odd is going on.

I have finished but now I want to travel up to the beard but it is not letting me load the final save, it just goes back to the main menu everytime I load it. I tried loading it and quicksaving quickly as well to see if that made a difference but that just loads the main menu after a few seconds too.

What am I missing here?

    When you killed Saveoursock in the original game... The game ended. The Baldur's Gate Trilogy, allowed you to play on to the capture event with you ending up in Jon Inurnickers dungeon.

    You will need an earlier save and complete the tales of the sword coast section BEFORE challenging Saveoursock...

    bugger, i dont remember that at all. im sure i bought bg1, played that and finished it, then bought ToSC and took my character into that and then played SOA and took my character into that and so on

    In the original that was the only to do ToSC after defeating Sarovok (installing the supplement to a completed game). If you did a full install before playing, you had to complete ToSC before facing Sarovok; which is exactly what EE is doing.

    You can pause and clua console yourself to another area, so you can carry on with the other parts of the game.
