    Is that a mod name?
    If not: I mean for instance - if I talk to Xzar and Montharon at level 1, leave them, come back to them when I am higher level, they still are level 1, which is imo pretty silly, because if I didn't speak to them, they would get the same level as me.

    I'm not sure if a mod like that exists, but you can always just use the CLUA console to set their XP to match yours. If you don't know how to use the CLUA console, see the first section of:

    Well... Someone does need to do some really creative scripting using DLG and BCS files... Provided that BCS script language allows not only to award set amount of experience points but also to force set the experience points based on PC's experience points or levels...

    I don't think it's possible but someone might know better...

    You want the level1npcs mod. I don't think it's compatible with EE yet.

    @mlnevese -
    He's saying he wants NPCs to level up in his absence (at least until the first time they join the party). Does the lvl1npc mod do that?

    I believe scriver is right, what Aleque want is NWN2 style NPC levelling, and I have to say it sounds impossible for 2 reasons 1) BG's script cannot force experience point let alone level 2) unlike NWN2 where all classes level up at same experience points in BG/BG2 classes level at different paces.... and throw multiclass/dualclass into consideration... well it's impossible...

    AFAIK TJ_Hooker's solution seems most practical...

    @Aleque P

    This is an option for level1npcs mod-
    Joinable NPCs more closely match the PC's experience - Optional
    option 1) On initial joining only
    option 2) On initial joining and rejoining

    NPCs, upon joining, will have their total experience points adjusted to a value closer to that of the player character. Feedback will display in the game window to let you know what's going on and when it ends so you can let this component do its work. After the experience points have been adjusted, the character will have a one-time-only rest script (so that you may fill their spell slots at your discretion). To use this, make sure that the AI lantern in the bottom right corner of the game screen is activated, select the character, and press R. Return to the main screen and your character will now be rested (and you may turn the AI off if you prefer). This script is self-effacing: it will go away if you rest, leave the area, save the game, change party members, or do almost anything else, so if you want to use it, you'd best do so as soon as the experience points have stopped twitching. As a side benefit, it's easy to ignore if you don't want it.

    It does both when the NPC first joins as well as when rejoining your group.
