@DarkDogg That would make the most sense. A lot of players definitely would not like being required to play BG:EE with him in order to use him in BG2:EE.
@Lemernis If he could be imported into BG2 like in BGT - then it would be more sense to play with him in BG1. Give him darts, single wep prof, hide in shadows and much more important - TOMES. In TOB his phys stats could be raised to 18/18/18
Also, at level 13 he'll get Quivering Palm, i.e., the capacity to kill with a single strike. Save or die.
Once with a monk CHARNAME I used Quivering Palm against Firkraag. I wasn't really expecting it to work because he has really good saves, but he must have had a very bad roll because he died in the first round.
Well, low level monks are like less impressive fighters, unless you change the XP cap and level him up I dunno if any monk is all that great in BG1 content.
It's not a bug. NPCs will only get maximum HP at the lower difficulties levels when they are in your party and you level them. The initial HP are predetermined and usually below the maximum.
In particular Rasaad will always have
7 HP if recruited at level 1 by a level 1 PC 13 HP if recruited at level 2 by a level 2 PC 28 HP if recruited at level 4 by a level 3+ PC
I was under the impression that npcs would also have max hp at level 1. Also I think all the other BG:EE npcs you can recruit at level 1 do start with max HP.
As I believe Quartz once said, if you can't keep him alive then you're probably not very good at playing Baldur's Gate.
For clarification I said that about Khalid, but I would certainly say the very same about Rasaad. Hell, it's probably even more applicable here. I appreciate the nod
Just wondering, has anyone used Rasaad with some items imported from Black Pits? I noticed they had gloves that screamed Monk (+4 THAC0/+4 Damage to unarmed), and various protection and avoidance items. Seems like you could kit him out to be absolutely beastly (just like any other NPC, o'course).

@Quartz thank you, this information makes me very happy. Dorn is awesome, and Rasaad isn't all that powerful... yet anyways, and I don't think I could travel around the world in 80 days with Rasaad on my arm. Besides, I don't really like goodie goodies anyways.
And I wouldn't call it lame... perhaps it's a bit linear and simple... I guess calling it lame means the same thing?
Rasaad is a good NPC... in BG2EE. Like some have said, he's an investment. Also, think of it as a challenge. Like another Khalid or Xan etc. Not the best, but if you wanted the best powergaming party, you either go Evil or multiplayer.
In the early levels, use ranged weapons when you can change proficiencies or use a Wakizashi/Scimitar/Ninjato with Single-Weapon Style when you get it.
With Monks, for levels 1-10 play them as Thieves, then after 10-12 play them as Warriors.

Edit. I tested different difficulties upon recruiting him too so it must be a bug. Like he wasn't weak enough already

Neera has maximum HP, but only if you recruit her at level 1, Dorn has 8 HP (instead of 10) at level 1.
Okay, thanks for help.
I'm thinking of maybe giving the con tome to Rasaad. Does anyone know if increased stats (other than pc's) will carry out to BG2:EE?
However, you can eventually edit NPC stats with tools like Shadowkeeper. It isn't cheating if you do so just to give them back tome stats.
I think I'm gonna SK it then if that's what it takes. I don't want to waste it since my mc has 14 con and would benefit from it too.
@Quartz
With the new patch Dorn has 10 HP at level 1, so now Rasaad is the only NPC with less then max HP at level 1.
It's 'cuz he lusts after power. You = Bhaalspawn. Bhaalspawn = Power. Power = Makes Dorn hot. Pretty lame but there you have it.
