3D Baldur's Gate - Women

In this thread, I'll post all the portraits I've done for all the Baldur's Gate women. I've done all the female NPC's who can join the party in both games, apart from Neera, yet, so I'll just go through them all in alphabetical order. First though, here they all are together:
I've tweaked and updated a few of them since that render.
For those interested in such things, I started all these a few years ago, using DAZ's Victoria 3 as the base figure, and I've stuck with her for all of them. All the renders are done in Poser 7, still... I suppose I should think about updating some time.

Aerie was the first character I made. I thought it would be easy, since there are lots of cute elf characters out there already. It actually took a surprisingly long time to get her to look the way I wanted:
As with the other characters, I've tried to find hairstyles that are as close as I can get to the game. Obviously, Aerie's hair is simplified, which I'm okay with; I don't really buy that any adventurer spends a whole lot of time braiding or putting stuff in their hair. :P
I played with some other costume ideas:
I know; it kind of looks like she might be tied to a pillar. :P (The pillar isn't actually behind her; it's at the top of the steps).
Then I tried to do a more actiony portrait, but it didn't really turn out that well, looking at it now. I needed to zoom in more, I think, so that there was less space surrounding her:
Finally though, I got around to painting her forehead and put Chiktikka Fastpaws on her shield:
Only the one so far of Alora. She came together pretty quick. The lighting is kind of flat though; I've gotten a bit better at that stuff... which makes me want to do new versions of a lot of these. But anyway:
Only one of Branwen as well. The only problem I had, was that I'd always pictured as a very strong, robust woman... only to go look up at stats and find that at STR 13 she's actually weaker than Nalia. Go figure. I did put some more muscle in her thighs though, and in renderings after this I gave her thicker arms as well:
Have you made one of Bodhi?
With Dynaheir, I decided to just say to hell with practical clothing for actually fighting trudging through dungeons and not getting your long skirts and robes snagged on rocks, and just gave her a traditional fantasy female mage outfit:
Actually, the only non-joinable NPC I've done so far is Tenya, as she appeared in a few short stories. Oh, and I did do Tamoko at one point, but since she's only ever appeared once in my renders I can still completely redo her if I want to.
I'll push on:
Faldorn
With Faldorn, I made her look younger than in the game... although she does still have a tendency to snarl a lot. Someone told me she was only supposed to be about 14 or 15 in BG1... I haven't actually gotten that far yet with the Enhanced Edition, so I don't know if that's true or not, although I do trust the person who said it.
I had a hard time finding hair that looked right on Imoen. So the first version of her just had messy hair like this:
And here she is, getting out of trouble... again:
The latest version has a hairstyle that I feel slightly more closely resembles the game:
And no; those marks weren't made by bullets. It was magic missiles, okay?
I do keep meaning to do one of her with the scar over her eye as in BG2, but I keep forgetting... maybe Aerie healed it.
Anyway, the next one is:
Jaheira
You can't really see the half elf's ears with her hair covering, but trust me, they're there. Essentially, I just took Aerie, reduced the elven features a bit, aged her, and applied a darker skin texture. And of course gave her a more athletic body type, not that it's really visible at all under this armor:
And in action:
When I first did Mazzy, I couldn't find anything like the hairstyle she has in game, so I decided to just let her hair down a bit. Personally, I quite like it:
And a view from a lower angle:
Nalia is one I definitely have to redo, since I found in more recent renders that her head just looked far too small somehow... even though I used the same scaling as on all of the others. Anyway, I changed it a bit.
But, be that as it may, the first picture I did shows her as an archmage and lady:
And here she is dressed the way she thinks all adventurers dress:
Not a whole lot to say, really. Not the most practical adventuring outfit, but it is Safana:
She's big. She's angry. I don't know how those cups are staying on. I did this one in kind of a hurry, I'm afraid. The biggest problem I have with Shar-Teel is getting anything to fit her at all.
Skie's head is... really round:
When I first started Viconia, the problem was finding a drow skin texture that looked good. They were either too dark, so you couldn't see any detail at all, or just far too shiny. In the end, I just took another texture (Jaheira's, I think), desaturated and darkened it, and then just added a bit of red back to the lips and cheeks. The result was this:
And here she is in a much more dynamic pose:
The first isn't a woman, yet, but I did a picture so I might as well show you. She's just twelve years old when you encounter her in game. And angry. Very angry...
I did a picture of her because I'd written her into a few short stories, where Imoen sort of ends up adopting her... or it's probably more precise to say that she adopted Imoen. Anyway:
Tenya
And, here was one I did that was meant to be Yoshimo and Tamoko (they were connected in a plot that was cut from the final game, but the info is out there I'm sure). All I really did was copy Yoshi's morphs onto a female figure, a very long time ago, so I've not decided that this is what she will look like when I finish her some day:
Tenya, again (a front cover for a story):
Aerie and Aerie... that is, Aerie being looked over by the spirit of her younger self, from before her capture and all the nasty stuff happened:
First picture of Aerie and Minsc:
Minsc and his original witch:
And all three:
Now, the next two pics... well you can figure what's happening. I'm just saying, it's a bit nasty... and maybe there'll be an alternative one with Cernd.
...
Still here? Okay:
First, don't underestimate Aerie. She's shy and nervous around people, but she's got a lot of guts and determination, and a very strong instinct to protect... Although, maybe this time she really ought not to intervene:
Version 1.0 and Version 2.0:
And, what happens when the ladies have all decided they've had enough:
Anyway, I gotta say, these are fantastic! I was curious as to what program you used to make these, or if it's from another game of some sort.
