does mod affect patch?

I installed BG2 tweak yesterday, right now im applying patch it's taking forever (the download speed is decent at 150K/s ) but it says downloading 1.7G/1.9G and its been like this for 10 mins.

    No, but you´ll have to reinstall any mods after updating.

    So, to be clear, I won't need to uninstall mods before applying the patch? I just have to re-install after the patch, correct?

    It's recommended to always uninstall first because of the way mods backup game files. But it should work without uninstalling as well.
