    In light of so many people saying to go for it, I really must chime in to disagree. You said you were 12 in 1998 and haven't played BG1 since. I'm guessing that, between that and the fact that you weren't aware of the constitution penalty for losing a familiar, you're quite new and inexperienced in this game. Trying to play it with only 1 constitution is a challenge for a player who's beaten the game before, but for a new player such as yourself, it's unreasonable to play with that sort of disadvantage right out of the gates.

    I'd recommend either starting over or cheating your stats back to where they were. Otherwise, you've got an extremely rough road ahead.
