How Imoen got to Candlekeep

From playing the originals that is one thing I never understood how imoen got to Candlekeep because the main character was saved by Gorion but there was no mention to imoen. So how did she get to Candlekeep?

    As for Imoen, I don't think her origins are ever explained in game. She arrives in Candlekeep after you, IIRC, I can only assume found in another raid or some such by another friend of Gorion's.

    Oh, and Melissan is her mom. (That's not true; I made it up. Or did I? She could be; both red haired and skilled in magic, after all. But no, I did make it up. It would be silly... or would it? Yes it would.)

    I think that according to ToB you, Sarevok and Imoen were saved from the same place by Goraion's party. Sarevok ren away, while you and Imoen stayed in Candlekeep. They kinda retconned it after they decided that they want to have something more out of Imoen.

    Although this could be complete imagination... Imoen could be imagination... Her name starts the same as Imagination...

    In TOB it explained that Seravok escaped the ritual during the chaos of the attack

    As a bhaalspawn and naturally gifted thief you would presume that she has her ways of getting around. Even as a toddler.

    She was probably brought to Candlekeep by some of Gorion's Harper friends who knew about Bhaalspawn. To gather and watch over them all in one place, so to speak.

    Whilst some things where "exaggerated" by my account:

    Whinthrop was Imoen's protector at Candlekeep, not Gorion. Lots of speech from Imoen hints to this.

    I also believe with Saveoursock you meet his protector / foster father late in the game.

    EDIT: Wanted to hide more details in a spoiler bar but couldn't. Any help info or link to the forum how to page would be good!

    The only information given in the game is that she was brought to Candlekeep few years after you.

    That reminds me of one of Neverwinter Nights quests, where you are captured by Ilithids.
    You could submit their illusions and that was game over. Quite scary.
