The most oddball (and interesting) party

I recall using my no resurrection policy and having to field some of the strangest, most lopsided parties. I often wound up with no casters or mostly casters or a party of pure rouges. You can bet there were no unused potions or scrolls.

Who is in the oddest party you can think of for BGEE, BG2?

    Well if we want an oddball party, I'd say Minsc, Xzar, Tiax, Quayle, and Charname would be the one.

    Try to gather Garrick, Eldoth, Skie, Faldorn, Xan. It would make you think about interesting fighting stratagies. Especially if you're a halfling barbarian yourself:D Have fun!

    In that party you'll have 3 arcane casters (Garrick, Eldoth, Xan), 1 divine caster with wolves (Faldorn), 3 melee fighters (barbarian, Moonblade for Xan and Iron Skins for Faldorn), 1 backstabber (Skie) and 3 archers. It's like having 11 (!) people together.

    to that and you have a party full of crazies. Well, except Quayle. But Quayle in that party is a nice touch nonetheless...

    I started a "shorty" party but got slept by an ogre mage ... I think I'll try it again, I hear having kagain+yeslick and tiax+Quayle gets some good dialogue. Not sure about the 2 halfers (which I'd only see if someone got gimped). I went F/I to round it off.

    added I just realised I can run a full party of six elves only! and it'd pretty balanced too. going to roll a fighter/thief sometime soon. i think coran, kivan, viconia, xan, and the new guy would make a interesting and quite devastating party

    I was thinking about an evil/shorty party for BG2.

    Korgan, Mazzy, Jan, Viconia & Edwin. The evil NPCs all have some interesting banter between them as do the shorties. And Jan will talk to anyone. You also have the oddness of a halfling almost-paladin in an evil party. As an interesting side-effect this is a pretty balanced party that can go with any Charname class.

    My current plan is to use my current BG:EE fighter druid for 3 tank, 2 arcane caster, 2 divine caster, 1 thief role cover.

    Misfits everywhere ... I think once I clear the cloakwood my party will be:

    charname gnome ftr/illus
    tiax
    neera
    baeloth
    and maybe keep dorn around ... or quayle? hehe

    I can't wait to see the new BG2:EE npcs ...

    At some point I have to try a CN charname and mix good and evil npc's together and watch the fireworks ...

    I guess my oddball party would be CHARNAME, *new guy*, Neera, Tiax, Xar, Monty.
