[Bug] Weight throwing axes

Picking up throwing axes (20) addes 5*20 lbs to encumberment (so one stack of 20 throwing axes weighs 100 lbs).
I presume that the 5lbs in the item description is regardless of the quantity of a single stack (a single stack should always weigh 5 lbs regardless of quantity).
This is on the Steam version.

Throwing (hurled) weapons like axes and daggers receive additional bonuses to damage (Str adj.) that arrows, bolts, and darts do not receive. The throwing weapons need some type of penalty to offset the bonuses they receive.
Plus, axes are a handheld weapon, where arrows, bullets, etc. are ammo. Ammo has no weight. Axes are not ammo.
However, throwing axes become a much more practicable option in BG2, where there are magical throwing axes which return to your hand when thrown, so you only need to carry one. And a couple of them have excellent bonus effects as well, so they're very useful.
Cheat in a "bag31" for weightless axes, cuz it makes no sense that axes disappear when thrown. In real life I pick up arrows too. But itsa game, and collecting litter is not good entertainment.
Wasn't it ADND that gave dwarfs proficiency in throwing beer mugs? Would be nice if other weapons could be thrown and effortlessly retrieved after the battle. "Loot All" button.
