Newbe questions: How do I purge my PreMade Characters?

I want to get rid of the PreMade Characters I made in the first few days--before I saw how OK it was to insist on a 90+ roll.
If I import that character, Fighter/Mage for ex. -into a New Game and then Quit the game without saving will that purge the PreMade Character for that Class??
What I am trying to restore is the ability to Export my new Stronger Character from the current game.

You can export any amount of characters without deleting previos exports. Just give it a new filename when asked.

Documents folder\Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition\characters holds all exported character files. Deleting those or just exporting new characters with the same file names should do the trick.

While it is certainly ok to do that, do not feel that you have need roll >90 to enjoy the game. Playing a less than optimum character creates new opportunities to learn and also allows you to better evaluate your travelling companions.
Indeed, I think it can help makes you a better player, as you have to try harder to get the best results.

In fact I actually purposely re-rolled my Jester to get a lower score, as I thought the original roll I got was going to make the game too easy! See:

    Initial roll:

    18 Str
    18 Dex
    15 Con
    15 Int
    8 Wis
    15 Cha

Roll actually used (still pretty good!)

    15 Str
    18 Dex
    15 Con
    15 Int
    7 Wis
    15 Cha
