I don't think I've seen this on the forum...

The other day I was bored playing BG:EE (hold the outrage for a moment!) and I went around force recruiting NPCs with the CLUAconsole (ctrl+q) and I ctrl+q'ed Imoen at the steps of Candlekeep and she turns out to be a single class mage with horrible stats! who is this Imoen? who is the Imoen we meet on the road out of Candlekeep, which is one char name truly grew up?!

is she the start of the doppleganger conspiracy? unbeknownst to us has thief Imoen strangled mage Imoen and fed her butchered corpse to Nessa the cow? is it the reason she duals into a mage in BG2, to cover her tracks?

If you force recruit mage Imoen like this you keep her when you leave Candlekeep with Gorion and then thief Imoen allows you to recruit her. alternatively you can, knowing that she's a doppleganger, kick her in the head till she's dead :)

    Heh, I recently done the same, I noticed different stats and also thought about her being doppelganger. I even thought about making similar topic to this one...

    Maybe Imoen OUTSIDE of Candlekeep is a figment of your imagination constructed by your frazzled mental state induced by watching your father murdered... The real Imoen is still inside Candlekeep, changing the bedding, killing rats and moving scrolls of identification about...

    This was just the kind of confirmation many have been seeking...

    And what about the irenicus dreams when we find imoen in the candlekeep library? Is this our mage imoen? Where's mage on our return to candle keep?
