Trying to Pickup an Item When Your Backpack is Full Still Generates "Item Movement" Sound

A simple thing here, that might be able to be fixed...

When your backpack is full, when you click on an item (say a weapon in a chest) it makes the sound as if you picked it up and moved it (metallic sound for a weapon) but it stays put. It'd be nice if this was like it was in the Original Baldur's Gate, and no sound was generated when clicking on an item, if it is not able to be picked up.

Do you mean when you pick an item from the ground? It's normal BG2 engine behavior.

The way I tested it is having a full backpack and then trying to take an item out of a chest or barrel... Not sure if it works the same as it does on the ground. It makes a noise like you've picked up the item even tho u haven't. If that's how it's supposed to be, then that's cool. Didn't seem right to me.

I see. I'll test it and ask around to see if it's a bug.

What do you think? It seems pretty annoying to me still... but maybe its intentional. I don't think if you try to pick up something, it should make the sound like you pick it up.

I just did a test in the original game. In the original when you pick up things up like swords, it makes a metallic sound. When you try to pick something up and your inventory is full, no sound registered and it stayed where it was. I think that's why I noticed it. It can certainly confuse you into thinking you've picked up something that you haven't. I for one would like to see it fixed, but I can see if you guys think its a non-issue.
