*Spoiler* So what happens after killing SAREVOK? a few qns.

Ok So I killed him....all 6 of my party members were almost dead
Tazok actually survived
there were 2 doomguards left

I received a message from SAREVOK saying my 'characters have been imported' After about 5 seconds...
the cinematic popped up
After which everything lagged down to a crawl literally...is this a bug?
I tried to escape out the door but the game crashed

I didn't get to LOOT any corpses?

Does that mean I have to do the whole fight all over again? OR is that it there is nothing else to do?

Actually just checking on it there is a 'FINAL SAVE' game file I reloaded it but any action I try to perform results in it crashing and going back to the MENU select screen???

Is there a patch I have downloaded yet for this?

Yep, that's it! Right after killing Sarevok your main character is exported. Also a final save is made.

Sometimes my final save gets corrupted. Check is the final save an all black picture when you look at the save file? If so it's probably corrupted...You will have to replay the ending to try for a non-corrupted final save afaik...

It's a bit of micro-management, but you might want to make sure your main character has in his/her inventory the things you want to transfer over to BG2, before the killing blow... I'm not sure what BG2EE will allow to be transferred over, but put those things you might want in there to be safe. They'll go to waste anyways lol. Gem bags, scroll cases, and potion cases cannot be exported so don't even bother having any of those in your main character's inventory. Don't forget The Golden Pantaloons! :)

I recall a very short delay after killing Sarevok where I paused to see if he dropped loot and didn't notice any. But the others do, more or less. So if you really want their stuff you're going to have to scavenge it while Sarevok is still alive and after you...

The ending movie plays horribly on my system also...welcome to the club ;P

The saved file doesn't have a black picture but I think it is still corrupted. It loads up but any action I take just crashes it straight away.

So anything in my BAG of Holding won't get imported? It has to be *out* of the bags? including scrolls *out of scroll cases. Potions out of the potion case and ammo out of the ammo belt?

The Golden Pantaloons I'll have to CHEAT back in - oops! I don't know what the significance of it is yet even when I played through to BG2 so no spoilers there.

No I am definitely sure SAREVOK didn't drop anything. I missed the loot on the 2 dead wizards though Angelo and the other guy. Nothing important there I hope.

So I take it my toons can be IMPORTED to 'the black pits' then?

Your main toon can be, however, it is suggested that you start with a fresh group of adventures for the BP since it is considered a separate campaign where the adventures start at lvl 1.

When importing to BG2, you lose virtually all your items as soon as the game starts. The only item that you keep are the golden pantaloons. Also, if you have certain items in your inventory, you'll find them in the starting dungeon, see here: http://www.forgottenwars.com/bg1/miscellany.htm
So there's no need to try and fill your PC's inventory with items, as you'll just lose them all anyways. Unless you're exporting to the Black Pits, I'm not sure how it works then.

Edit: Also, there's nothing special the character file that is created after the final battle. The only difference would be the xp, but I'm assuming just about everyone will be at the xp cap by this point anyways. Otherwise it works just as well to export your character right before the final battle, or whenever really.

As TJ Hooker was saying, that's all folks...

Don't worry about any loot from the final battle, it doesn't transfer. Enjoy the final, epic brawl for its own sake. Apart from the character itself, you will be starting all over in BG2. There are some cheese tactics to keep your stuff, but it seriously messes with game balance, and we wouldn't want to do that!

I used cheese tactics to weaken the opponent before SAREVOK rushed in for the kill, before he could even started his final speech. LOL.
