Transferring save files from windows to mac

Hello, everyone. I've been playing with windows version but since mac version released, I'm thinking to move to mac version. Can I transfer the save files from windows to mac? If I can, how can I do that?
I've been searching this forum for a while but I guess my searching skill was not good enough.
Thanks.

Yes, it's in the stickied FAQ ;)

They go in /Documents/Baldur's Gate - Enhanced /Saves/

I've tried to transfer my old saves from Baldur's Gate: Tales of the Sword Coast for PC to Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition for Mac, without success. I have simply copied the files via a USB drive to the appropriate directory (~/Documents/Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition/save) but this does not work. The Mac saved game that I created for there to be an appropriate place where to stick the old PC version contains two files that the old PC version of BG: TotSC lacks, namely 'AR2600.ARE' and 'default.toh'. These two files are both absent from the the old PC version. When I run BG: EE, the old, saved games, do not show up. Duplicating the .ARE and .toh files from the Mac game onto the PC save does not resolve the issue. Is there a way out?

@Cargil The old BG files are not compatible with the EE, but the EE saves are cross platform compatible. So if you create a save in the Windows version of EE it will work in the OSX and Ipad EE versions.

OK! Thanks!!!! What a shame though. Why couldn't they just have maintained the old saved games format? I must have spent more than 2,000 hrs. on the original game and just wanted to finish it up on the best computer there is! Now I'll have to wrap matters up using Fusion on a virtual computer on the Mac, which I thought I could otherwise get rid of! Do you know if Icewind Dale for Mac OS X works the same, or if it's cross platform the way EE is, bearing in mind that it was originally released for OS X, whereas the original version of BG was released for Classic OS?

@Cargil If your run the original version of Icewind Dale or Baldur's Gate in a VM they should have no problem at all with the Windows saves. Notice that they are both PPC programs and not Intel native binaries as the Enhanced Editions are.
