No more multi-mages in pajamas!

I like to play fighter/mages quite a lot, and one of the things which has really irked me for a while now is the way in which he wears his robes. I'm referring to the 'pajama' look he dons, with its colourful boots and leather, as opposed to changing the paperdoll/sprite to look like that of a normal mage, comme ça:

Whilst I appreciate it was like this in the vanilla games, the version of 1PP I installed onto my BG2 and BGTutu rectified this problem, making my fighter/mage look a lot more dignified, and changing his paperdoll/sprite to that of the equivalent mage whenever he wore a robe, so something like this:

Much better, don't you think?
As I said, I wouldn't normally bring something like this up, but with the fact that 1PP was integrated into the game, surely it wouldn't be that hard to add this feature?

On the other hand, you currently get to see Imoen and Nalia walking around mostly naked in BG2.

I don't use ShadowKeeper for cheating the game, but I do keep it installed, and this issue is one of the main reasons why. SK makes it easy to change a character's paperdoll and sprite to the new class after dual-classing, which is how I think they ought to look (and is completely irrelevant to gameplay, so it's not a cheat).

Yeah, I always edit this sort of thing with every mage multiclass I play.

An option of which model to use for multi/dual classes would be nice, if it isn't too hard to program.

I personally despise this issue, because if I decide to switch to elven chain, after I SK it to look like a mage... I still look retarded... I also play fighter mages, and I agree with this bothersome issue.

And Imoen never really looks naked... she always looks like a bard or thief of some sort... IMO

Its a nice idea, I play with Mage/Thief, and the Robe of the Good Archimagi only changes some brown stuff to yellow, it will be nice to add a cape or something else.

    Wonder if ctrl-6 still works

If you grab my Cosmetic Changes pack of overrides, the Good Archmagi robe changes all of your colors, making it a more noticeable change even on the thief avatar.

Of course, the same pack makes it so that knave, traveler, and adventurer robes don't do *anything* on a thief avatar...

    Same goes with fighter thieves.
Guess the fighter paper doll is dominant for some reason.

Usually use shadowkeeper to change the paperdoll to mage/rogue/cleric when I multi/dual class.

In every multiclass combo, the paperdoll of the class that uses the heavier type of armor prevails.

The BG2 Tweak Pack has a component which implements a script you can use to change your avatar. You just select the script, press S, go through the short dialogue and voila. Not only you don't need to edit your savegame, but AFAIK it won't reset the avatar in case the character dies.

If I'm not mistaken, it also has a component similar to the 1PP functionality that automatically changes your avatar based on what you are wearing.

Yeah, I used that mod before. You can even change your elvish character to look more like the robust human counterpart. But I dont like having features that you can use mid game to 'polymorph' yourself into the desired form. And besides, that wingless-winged elf uses the mage avatar even though she's a cleric/mage. So why can't a player have the choice pre-mod?

Or maybe the birth of new sprites could be asked for in this case. Since the fighter/mage will use the fighter avatar (because it's the only one available to illustrate heavy armor if worn) then could we add new sprites for a fighter wearing mage robes or a thief wearing mage robes. Since there are only two different avatars for the multi-class anyways. Course, there is always Use Any Item ability... so thief with plate armor!!!!

We don´t have enough paperdolls to do something like that.
Just look on human male fighter and human male mage paperdoll.
    That´s why we need pajamas...
