She will eventually get above 0 in lore as she gains levels, but will never be a great identifier. You need a Bard, a smart Thief, or some Identify spells for that.
The only non-bard that can somewhat reliably identify common items (+1 stuff, ammo) is Xzar on higher levels, especially if you give him all WIS tomes. He has high INT and WIS, so I assume the same is true for Dynaheir (haven't tried, but she can also dual to cleric). It does save you a few spells in midgame because he identifies the common things earlier than other NPCs, but it will never be anywhere near a bard's lore.
"I turn to stone, when you are gone, I can't go on..."
Like Branwen, I too love ELO.
She is a 'sweet talking women' and gives me a 'strange magic' oh it's so good, that healing magics special.
There is definitely going to be a 'showdown' when we meet Viconia the 'evil woman.' It's a 'givin thing' that many players at this point drop Branwen under the 'Mr Blue Sky' and abandon her. It horrifies me that people do this, I just 'can't get it out of my head, now my whole world is gone for dead'
These people must be from 'Xanadu' for doing this.

I crossed a line somewhere and lost it again... Blue days Black nights... I look into the sky... And I wonder why...

Wizards also gain some Lore, but really Bards are the main Lore guys. Just ask Volo.
