Trigger for Chapter 4

Help!
I just finished the Bandit Camp, read the letters, and the game does not advance to Chapter 4 and reveal Cloakwood. I tried adding the letter with Shadowkeeper, it still does not trigger the next chapter. I talked to the elf and the journal updated. No cloakwood on the map. Your help is greatly appreciated.

    The Chapter 4 trigger is to have the second letter in the chest (scrl2z) in your inventory. If you read or copied the letter and then quickly dropped it, the game might not have realized it was ever there (scripts don't run while the game is paused).

    Reminds me of when my brother was stuck in chapter 6 because he used ctrl-j to jump to the edge of the Candlekeep area instead of walking. He didn't know that the trigger to move to chapter 7 was on the path that he skipped.

    I rerolled and started over. Dang it!

    You re-rolled? Don't you keep multiple save logs?

    I ALWAYS export my characters as soon as I create them so I don't need to re-roll.
