Watcher's Keep fluff question.

So I've been wanting to go to Watcher's Keep. Is there a breadcrumb trail quest deal in any parts of BG II? What would the story motivation be for going there? I ask because I always feel like a terrible friend for leaving Imoen behind for so long. ;___;

"Oh, cool, a dart that returns to me! In your face, Thalantyr! ...every time I throw it, I'll think of you, Imoen."
...
"Hey, Immy! Here, have a dart I picked up while your mind was being treated like a pulled pork sandwich in the making."

    Imoen can cope; it isn't like she has a soul.

    No breadcrumb trail unless you are using a mod which has one. It is just a separate area, even moreso than Durlag's Tower.

    @Eudaemonium - Mean but funny!

    Then, in that case, I'll just cast plane shift, head over to Azeroth, and get her a soul shard from a warlock!
    "I know you're probably really mad I made you wait, but here's a soul! :D?"
    "...this belonged to a guard!"
    "Hey, those guys are tough."

    Not this ginger, though. At least, not for long.

    --- anymore.

    LOL. It's not like being tortured and whatever for 21 days is any less horrible than having the same for 19 days. Ok, maybe it is, but if you stop and think about it, yer gonna get a headache.

    For me, I always complete every single mission quest I can in chapter 2. I see it as not only do I need to find her, but I need to be as powerful as I can be before the confrontation. Any weakness on my part will only lead to defeat and then my 'Rescue' attempt is for naught. She will just have to hang in there. (I know. I am a Bad, bad person).

    I usually get to Watcher's Keep pretty fast after the Underdark. My first priority is to rescue sis, then come back for everything else.
    It's funny though, I always feel a little guilty running off to save Immy, because there are SO MANY urgent quests demanding your attention within a few hours of escaping Irenicus' dungeon. There's no way to do them all justice.

    Personally, I like to have the unlimited + amo for the various missile weapons that you can find in Watcher's keep before I go to the underdark. That way I am not slammed for storage space and have to play inventory tetris (again).
