Visit any busy and active forum dedicated to (PC)gaming. Doesn't matter if you pick a forum in English, German, Finnish, whatever. I can pretty much quarantee that the threat about Baldur's Gate saga you inevitably find on this forum ranks among oldest and biggest (in terms of views and written messages) of the Forum. I can also quarantee that some 13 years after release of BG2, messages about the game still steadily trickle in in this thread. Does this mean BG is popular like Battlefield 3 or latest Call of Duty? Nay. Is it infinitely better emembered than either of those will ever be? Yar.

btw, it sure sucks that probably nobody who read the novel first ever played the game after. i may not have read it myself or played baldurs gate until about 2 years ago, but i have seen enough hate on it and even read some summaries of it to know that it sucks. gotta play the games first.

For the last time, there *is* no novel!

I would like to know where people get this kind of crazy idea. Can you believe someone was trying to convince me that there were such films as Highlander 2 and 3? Everyone knows there was only one...

And everyone knows they only made two Master of Orion games.

    Two Terminator movies
    One Matrix movie
    Four Dark Tower books
Guns N Roses disbanded in 1991
Dragon Age: Origins is yet to see a sequel

There should be a thread about things that REALLY happened.

Remember when they made Star Wars Episodes IV, V, and VI, and then never made any more?

Why did Darth Vader turn to the dark side? We'll never know.

My theory is that he was a selfish and whiny punk who sold the entire jedi order because he had a nightmare. And he was also bad at romantic dialogues.

IV, V, VI? You mean I, II and III. No point in giving them thoose numbers when there only were 3 movies

do you think there were many better games to play 13 years ago?

and even now the games are improving mostly at the graphics part and a bit at gameplay but they're mostly pointless arcades as the marketing department decided that targeting audiencies as young as 10 would be more profitable...in others words an adult will find few games worth playing and BG is definately one of them
