Should There Be More Race Specific Kits ?

Leave that for modders, who are extremely talented and do quite a good job.

If everything is left up to modders then there is really no point in BGEE ever being released. Didn't the majority buy this because it was touted as being the complete experience without any need for the "tricky" modding of the original ?

    ...
Gender only kits, no. That's just stupid.

Not always, i feel somehow strange in playing a Male Amazon or Male Drow Priest for example.

not if the male drow was a priest to Vhaeraun

@amftron little nit picky things like this should be left to the modders. BGEE and Overhaul enhance the game as whole. The content that is added is intended for the majority of people playing. A race that is rarely used getting the time and money required to create a kit for only that race's use only is a waste.

The major improvements should be done by Overhaul, which they have. The minor, player specific content should be done by the modders and not waste the majority of people's money creating aspects they won't use.

then someone should make a mod manger not every one is tech savvy or has the time to mod

A drow male of Lolth if it pleases so. I state the point clear however.

What exactly is the difference between an amazon and a barbarian or berzerker or other fighter? Just the gender? Needs no kit then.

just ribbing u a bit i find it a mildly irritating that most believe male drow cannot be priest when the this is only true for Lolth and a few others gods in their pantheon drow male have a few priesthoods they can join most common of which is Vhaeraun

i think it just a role-playing difference such as a female barbarian with a hostile stance towards all men or they might pick classic amazon weapons such as spears and bows

Fighters can already pick spears and bows. Just a roleplay angle requires no kit. Hence no need for an Amazon kit, and no absurdity about a possible male character using this kit.

The Amazon technically can only specialise in Spears or Bows, and gets this +3 to Hit/Damage against people from male-dominated cultures on her first hit only, which I have no idea how you'd code.

Honestly, if they implemented it, it'd probably be best as a Ranger kit who can achieve GM in Spears and Bows, but then it'd just be like Archer.

Yeah, that's why such a kit is somewhat pointless. It's "like ranger, but can have GM in (not a bow)". That's hardly different enough from ranger or fighter to make it a kit. Rangers, fighters and barbarians can already be female, so nothing stops you from making an amazon character. Plus there is really no good reason why only females should be able to use those weapons. It would only result in people shadowkeeping such kits to the desired gender, which defeats the purpose of having more options due to more kits.

Race restricted kits would be second choice - they'd add more and possibly better options for races with very limited options. Lifting those restrictions would be first choice; simply let every race pick every class/kit and voila. Neither gender has limited classes as it is, so why add restrictions?

Maybe pointless, but it exist doesn't it? It was just an argument, no need to make a big deal of it, i don't expect it neither will i require for this implement :)!
