Order of the Stick is Back!

Thanks to @pekirt for mentioning it in the "Developer Transparency" thread. I had no idea! Rich Burlew has been back in production for several months now, and I didn't even know.

For anyone who doesn't know it, every D&D fan owes it to him or herself to try Order of the Stick. The first 800 plus installments are archived here:

It starts out with pure hilarious D&D parody, but over time, the characters and storylines grow more and more complex. It never loses its sense of humor, but it hooks you into really caring about the cast of characters and the stories, which start to mix in a lot of serious relationship drama with all the comedy. It's really great stuff - I can't praise it highly enough.

Indeed he seems to be back, at slightly less than peak efficiency, but still... For those who didn't know, he had an accident where he almost lost all motor control of his right hand fingers, IIRC. Considering he's a rightie earning his living from drawing comics, that was a major thing. He seems to be doing much better now.

It's my favorite webcomic. Unfortunately, with the autohor's chronic (and to his readers, unknown) illness which causes long periods of bedrest and his hand injury a few months ago, it moves at a snail's pace. The current storyarch has been going on for two years or something now, that's a darn shame.

My other favorite is the Goblins comic ( http://www.goblinscomic.com/06262005/ ) which started out as lighthearted D&D fun through the view of some goblins, but has since evolved into a dark and serious comic about racism, tyranny and lots of incredibily complicated dungeons.

For the newcomer to Goblins, one thing to watch out for: THunt (the artist) puts up the colored comic first, and then he does the "glossing" (adding 3D-ish light effects etc.) a few days later. So the latest comic isn't the representative of the final art, but usually the previous comic is.

    (Example: http://www.goblinscomic.com/ vs http://www.goblinscomic.com/05082013/)

(The last link has some comic-ish portrayal of violence and its physical results. It may not be rated E for everyone--just so you know.)

I recently got into Guilded Age. It's about a party of adventurers in a fantasy world that may be virtual or real. They're doing updates on weekdays.
