BG3 but nothing to do with the Bhaalspawn. That story is over and done with. A new character with a new story and adventure in the Sword Coast area, perhaps north of Baldur's Gate this time.

Hmm... BG3 but the Bhaalspawn is only involved like the Warden/Hawke as of Dragon Age III. In other words, your actions will have an impact of BG 3 from BGII.
BG3, a new story with new NPC's in a time years after the conclusion of BG2. New areas and dungeons. Starting at level1. An interesting touch, but not necessary, might have a couple of the NPC's of BG3 related generationally to some of the NPC's from BG2.
One of the things I'm really interested in to keep the game substantially fresh even when players have gone through it several times, would be to let the locations of some NPCs vary from game to game (unless their location is absolutely essential to the story line), and also try to have some significant items show up in a different place from game to game. This would keep the uncertainty and challenge of the game fresh. Actually, having a mod of this type for BG1 would also be pretty exciting.
I would like to see all the things OP listed too. However I would wish that the possible DLCs would be relatively big rather than adding one or two new areas at the time. Reason being I would like to see expansions with at least somewhat unified theme and story.
The only way I could personally see expansions added to BGEE/BG2EE is TostSC style, ie. new areas to explore pop up on your map and are completely optional. I don't know how many of these the games could handle without becoming too bloated though, there is a rather significant number of sidequest stuff in both games already. ToB is the only part I could really see needing some "widening" and perhaps bit more wilderness areas for SoA.
Another thing could be making more specialized quests like stuff that is only available for certain classes. I know this stuff already exists in the form of the strongholds, but it could expanded. Also adding new strongholds like pagoda for monks, or maybe new quests based on character race. This would also have the benefit of supporting replayability.
Finally I really want Overhaul to do whatever they gain to support modders and make these games as moddable as possible.
More support for the modding community to make it easier for them. I thought BG EE was suppose to be more modder friendly yet here we are months later and i still can't bring myself to even play the game because i'm so spoiled with BWP and all the greats mods it offers.
Maybe i'm confused. Is all it gonna take is a solid reliable new version of Weidu out of beta stage to make life that much easier for modders to convert their mods to EE versions? Or is it alot more than that?
