Characters will not move

Playing on the iPad version. Just bought it yesterday.

Current behavior: Sometimes when pressing on the ipad screen the characters will not go where the placement icons flash. They do not move at all and I have to press again.

Expected behaviour: The characters should move to where I put my finger on the screen

    Is no one going to address this like my other two posts?

    From what I hear the iPad is very touchy. Maybe that is the problem?
