Where in Baator is the patch?

I remember asking over a month ago "should I start my new no-reload game or should I wait for the patch?". I was kindly told to wait as the patch was just around the corner. But where is it already?

Life is hard & playtime is limited. A game through BGEE would take me about two months to finish. I take my gaming seriously, especially no-reload, so I don't want to restart mid-game.

Is there any news on the ETA of the patch yet?

Well Trent Oster said they were late. As Beamdog communication still hasn't improved, it could mean the patch will be out tomorrow, or in december 2013.
Nobody knows. Hell, maybe Trent Oster himself doesn't know.

So, i will wait myself because i can do other things meanwhile, but i definitely NOT recommend to wait for other people. This might be a LONG wait.

You can always finish your current game and apply the patch later.

The length of a piece of string can easily be calculated...

Length of a piece of string = Length to the middle of piece of string x 2

We can now apply said reasoning to the arrival of the patch.

    Patch release date = Dc2

    D = number of developers

C = a constant, being the speed of light. (Developers work fast, but even they are limited to the laws of the time space continuum)

Developers are also all squares, hence the 2...

After said deduction... I can say with absolute certainty...

That the arrival of the patch...

    Will be...

    ...

    Soon.

    :-P

As @Kilivitz advised, play then install patch while on your run.

My tiefling warlord is keeping the patch locked in her dread fortress on Avernus. Roll initiative!

Not a good idea, since few fixes/changes are implemented retroactively; he'd have to start a new game anyway.

Why? The game can be finished as it is. He can either install the patch mid-game and use the few retroactive fixes or wait until he finishes his current run and install the patch later.

I understand that this next patch will bring quite a few changes, but unless you have video card-related issues, the game is perfectly playable and enjoyable now.

If the OP feels like he can't enjoy it as it is now, that's his prerogative of course, but I don't understand why you guys act like it'd be a mistake to play it now. Life's too short, you know?
