That's a pretty nice segment of the campaign, at least better than the final dungeon? I'm not sure what my feelings for the OC would have been, if it hadn't been continued in MotB though.
It's just putting my own spin on it, but similar to HotU. I enjoy the last steps of a characters journey where I'm finally able to define what it is I want him to become.
Before songs, I do want to say that Sonic Forces may not be nearly as good as the boost games it comes from, but I can at least give it probably a 6.5/10. Classic feels downgraded from generations, only really benefitting from the drop dash of Mania. Modern had moves removed, such as drift and wall bounce, which dumbed him down and there is a section that could really use the drift. Avatar played fine, although I just made an avatar for the purpose of looking good in the Persona outfit and that was it. Tag team was probably the best, combining modern and avatar into a Sonic Heroes like experience, but it easily swaps characters based on the action you are doing instead of dedicated swap button. Game was short, but filled with spectacle. Story was a pretty well balance in tone, although I personally hate what is being done with Tails.
Mania was definitely the better Sonic game of this year. However, I do hope for the best with Forces. I still love a good modern Sonic, and I enjoyed this experience however short it was. When I need a Sonic itch scratched, though, I would still be booting up Generations in the future. I just have to wonder if points were taken off anywhere in an attempt to make Mania look even more far superior, and push for Forces to fail. This game is fully functional, and I've barely run into bugs. I had a single crash late in the game. Load times were good. It is a better game than most games I've seen in its current score range.
Infinite has 3 boss themes. I also find the 2nd pretty enjoyable. 3rd served its purpose as our final battle against him, although I miss the energy of the other 2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYu3Hhixoa0
My personal favorite level, as I believe is for many people, is level 24. At the same time, it feels like such a missed opportunity. Like, they should've made this level into 2. It begins with a sort of hype building moment, and then picks up into a stage with the main theme, Fist Bump, playing. One of the best parts of Fist Bump, I think personally. Just should've slowed down on the hype, create a nice build up to the epic moment! Good level, anyway. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L9PlBeE_ZIw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXTSb62lxLs
Final boss unfortunately a throwback boss I won't say what it is, but its been done before. So that is super disappointing. Overall was also super easy, with maybe a bit of difficulty in phase 2. I actually kind of miss Super Sonic final boss battles. Even when they are easy, there is some amazing spectacle to them that is more satisfying than this. However, song does what it needs to do. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GcNEDhlfpv4
Credits song. I've gotta say, it feels like so many credits songs we've all heard before, yet I don't tire of this. I just wish it felt better reaching this point, but it all happened so fast. If this game had lived up to the hype, I would probably be absolutely in love with this song, leaving a good final impression on a great experience. Oh well. I still like it, but it is lacking the good game that makes me remember the other songs like it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmGQ8YG6tFI
So I know its just a total conversion mod for Skyrim, but Enderal: The Shards of Order is definitely in my list of top 5 RPGs ever, and has amazing music. Listen to these.
Oh man listening to these I'm crying all over again. The game and its soundtrack are both masterpieces. I'd highly recommend playing it or at least listening to the other tracks.
Most of the time I find the music in NWN to not be that special. But Heart of the forest was one of those rare moments when I stopped actually playing to just listen to the music.

Only at stage 11 atm, but this boss theme was pretty good

Modern Sonic I kinda miss the instrumentals of the other boost games, or the rock of the adventures. But there are some ok ones.
